Hey there, I’m Michelle!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where mom life gets real and grace abounds in the beautiful mess of it all.
A Little About Me
I’m a stay-at-home mom here in the heart of Tennessee, married to my best friend and raising two incredible kids who teach me something new about patience, love, and the art of finding Goldfish crackers in every corner of my house. Our days are filled with the wonderful chaos that comes with family life – from homeschool co-ops and karate to impromptu dance parties in the kitchen and bedtime stories that somehow turn into theological discussions.
When I’m not mediating sibling disputes or trying to keep everyone fed and somewhat clean, you’ll find me pursuing my favorite adventures. I’m absolutely obsessed with thrift store treasure hunting – there’s something magical about finding that perfect vintage piece for $3 that would cost $50 at a boutique store. My family has learned to plan extra time for any errand that involves passing a thrift store because I might just “pop in for a quick look” (which never actually happens).
I’m also on a journey toward better health – not the kind that involves crash diets or fad workout routines, but the sustainable, grace-filled approach to taking care of the body God gave me. Some days that looks like a morning walk while the kids ride their bikes, and other days it’s choosing the protein-filled whole food over the Cheetos (though let’s be honest, sometimes it’s choosing both).
Family game night is serious business in our house. I may be a stay-at-home mom, but I’m also fiercely competitive when it comes to Five Kings, Honey Buzz, or pretty much any game that involves strategy. My kids are learning that Mom plays to win, but also that losing gracefully is just as important as celebrating victories.
Most importantly, I’m a woman who’s learning what it means to walk closely with Jesus in the midst of everyday life. My faith isn’t something I put on for Sundays – it’s woven into bedtime prayers, grocery store patience lessons, and those quiet morning moments with my coffee when I’m seeking His heart for our family.
About This Blog
This blog started because I realized how much I craved real, honest conversations about mom life – the kind where we can laugh about the chaos, cry about the hard parts, and encourage each other through it all. I was tired of perfectly curated social media posts that made me feel like I was failing at this whole motherhood thing.
Here, you’ll find the real story. The victories and the struggles. The moments when I feel like I’ve got this parenting thing figured out, and the days when I hide in the bathroom for five minutes of peace while my kids argue over who gets the last string cheese.
What you can expect to find here:
Real Mom Life: From the daily challenges of keeping tiny humans alive and thriving to the unexpected joys that make your heart burst, I share the authentic experience of motherhood in all its messy glory.
Faith in the Everyday: How to find God in the laundry piles, seek His wisdom in parenting decisions, and trust His grace when we fall short of our own expectations.
Practical Living: From thrift store finds that transform your home on a budget to sustainable approaches to health and wellness that actually fit into a busy mom’s life.
Home and Family: Creating a home that feels warm and welcoming without breaking the bank, building family traditions that matter, and finding beauty in the ordinary moments.
Encouragement and Community: Because we’re all figuring this out as we go, and sometimes we just need someone to remind us that we’re doing better than we think we are.
My Heart for You
If you’re here, chances are you’re a mom who’s trying to do this life well while feeling like you’re constantly behind, overwhelmed, or not quite measuring up to some invisible standard. I want you to know that you’re not alone, you’re not failing, and you’re exactly the mom your kids need.
This space is for the mom who wants to pursue health but needs it to be realistic and sustainable. For the woman who loves Jesus but struggles to find time for lengthy quiet times. For the family that wants a beautiful home but needs it to work with a real budget and real life.
You’ll find practical tips here, but more than that, you’ll find encouragement to embrace grace – for yourself, your family, and this beautiful, imperfect journey we’re all on together.
I believe that God meets us right where we are, in the middle of our mess, and that He can use even our ordinary moments for extraordinary purposes. I believe that taking care of ourselves isn’t selfish – it’s stewardship. And I believe that authentic community, even online, can change our lives and remind us that we’re part of something bigger than our daily struggles.
